Description

Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, a dynamic software development firm is seeking a developer with 3+ years of experience in web and Windows application development. The candidate will be skilled in the use of Visual Basic 6.0 and later, ASP, JavaScript and .NET technologies as used to develop applications interacting with Microsoft SQL Server database server. The position requires the developer to write functioning code from user requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of existing applications, developing new features, as well as the development of new products.


A solid working knowledge of Visual Basic, XML, T-SQL, relational database theory, and Microsoft development tools is required. The candidate must be willing to learn new technologies and be able to demonstrate how best to apply them to business problems.


Candidates with experience in both desktop and web based .NET Framework applications are preferred. Experience with Pocket PC or .NET Compact Framework is a plus.


Required Skills: Visual Basic 6.0, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, SQL Server, XML, MSDE, MTS, COM+, IIS


Desired Skills: Visual Studio .NET, Visual Basic .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Compact Framework, Wise Windows Installer


NOTE: Preference given to candidates with strong SQL Server and relational data model design and database implementation skills.


Non-Technical Skills: Self-motivated, self-managed, thinks outside the box, likes to push the development envelope to create new and better ways to do things with existing technology, eager to use the latest technologies and tools.
